10 years of guitar teaching

It is 10 years to the day since I began guitar teaching. My very first student was Phil Thomas, on Saturday at 4pm on 29th July 1995. It was amazing how it all started: about 2 weeks before, I had a feeling that I should start giving guitar lessons: this came completely "out of the blue". Shortly after this, Phil asked if he could have lessons! Word soon got around (I didn't need to advertise), I took on other students, and it quickly grew from there, with me working in London and teaching part time on the weekend and in the evenings. After about 7 years, I went "full time", still doing some private teaching, but now mainly working in schools and music schools, and also gigging and doing recording work.

So a big thank you to all of you who have been my students, I hope that the lessons and the skills developed have helped to make you more YOU!

Here's a pic of Steve when I met him after the gig, whom I found to be relaxed, warm and friendly. Thanks for a great evening Steve, and thanks to Eddie Delahaye for supplying the pic.
